YTF considers its research work titled Traffic Signs & Science book as a land mark project for having made a change at National level. This research content was sent to lead agencies in the country during 2008 and YTF is proud to mention that the latest amendments released by the central ministry compliments the work.

360 degree vigilant approach to save school children on road

Shortcuts being the present way of life, vehicles are seen coming from every possible direction. To survive in this pathetic traffic condition one has to be 360 degree conscious even if they have abundant knowledge about vehicle and road usage. Therefore sensitizing programs takes priority for creating mass awareness. Sensitizing creates space in the mind to devote time and attention towards the subject. Imparting knowledge then becomes easy and meaning full. Keeping in view that 2,60,000 children are being killed on world roads due to road crashes, educating school children and general public about road safety fundamentals is a top priority for the nation. Our country is loosing Rs.55,000 crore each year with 1.3 lakh people being killed on road leaving their families far behind.

Results of pilot project:

This preventive project was launched at Sarvajana higher secondary school, Coimbatore and the 30 day intensive, sensitizing program was a grand success according to the feedback obtained from students & teachers.

Student s feedback:

Now I know that the roads are not to be taken lighter

I will not do the mistake of using vehicle without my parents knowledge

I used to behave like the film star Jackie chan .
